Senior Product Manager

Summary

Join HashiCorp as a Product Manager and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for foundational AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Providers. You will shape the core user experience for Terraform users, working with leading cloud platforms, the Partner team, and engineering teams. Responsibilities include developing a unified product strategy and roadmap, leading prioritization for engineering teams, managing partner relationships, fostering cross-provider collaboration, partnering with Terraform Core teams, and advocating for customers and the open-source community. The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of product management experience with developer tools or IaaS, deep cloud provider expertise, IaC experience, and strong analytical and communication skills. This role offers the chance to impact millions of developers and operators and build bridges between ecosystems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience, ideally with developer tools, Infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS ), or platform products
• Deep domain expertise in at least one of the major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and a strong technical understanding of the others
• Demonstrable experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools; direct experience with Terraform is highly preferred
• Proven ability to manage complex external partner relationships and navigate competing priorities from multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical and prioritization skills, with experience making difficult trade-off decisions to drive the product forward
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate between highly technical engineering teams and business-focused partners

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate a unified product strategy and cohesive roadmap for the AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud providers, ensuring alignment with the broader HashiCorp Terraform vision
• Lead the planning and prioritization process for three engineering teams
• Manage a complex backlog of feature requests from partners, community contributions, bug fixes, support escalations, and internal strategic initiatives to deliver maximum impact to our users
• Serve as the primary product contact for our strategic cloud partners (AWS, Azure, Google)
• Partner closely with our Partner Alliances team to manage relationships, align on joint roadmaps, and ensure timely support for new and updated cloud services
• Identify and solve for inefficiencies across the provider teams
• Champion initiatives to increase automation, create shared tooling, and standardize practices to improve development velocity and product consistency
• Forge a deep partnership with the Terraform Core product and engineering teams
• Be the voice of the providers, ensuring that new language features and platform capabilities are seamlessly adopted and provide a world-class user experience
• Engage directly with our vibrant open-source community and enterprise customers to gather feedback, understand critical pain points, and champion their needs throughout the product development lifecycle
