Summary

Join Pinecone, a company empowering developers to build powerful AI applications, as a Product Manager, Developer Experience. You will play a key role in shaping the future of our vector database platform. Responsibilities include conceiving and executing product vision and strategy for developer APIs, SDKs, integrations, and console experiences; defining the end-to-end developer journey; driving product roadmap for developer-facing tools; designing intuitive interfaces; conducting user research; analyzing usage data; and advocating for developers. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of professional software engineering experience or a bachelor's degree in computer science, plus 2+ years of product management experience. A strong understanding of developer needs and API's/SDK's is essential. The position is located in NYC (strongly preferred), SF, or remote.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional software engineering experience or bachelor's degree in computer science
  • 2+ years of product management experience
  • Understanding of developer needs and familiarity with API’s/SDK’s, and developer tools
  • Excellent communication skills to convey research findings and product recommendations to non-technical peers and leaders
  • Experience gathering feedback, input and data from users and running beta tests
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience analyzing, interpreting, and leveraging data to make strategic, business decisions. You enjoy empirical, data-driven approaches to deployment

Responsibilities

  • Conceive and execute product vision and strategy for developer APIs, SDKs, integrations, and console experiences
  • Define the end-to-end developer journey from onboarding to production, reducing friction and time-to-first-value
  • Drive product roadmap for developer-facing tools and features, aligning engineering priorities with strategic objectives and user needs
  • Design intuitive API interfaces, SDKs, documentation, and console experiences that enhance developer productivity
  • Conduct user research through interviews, surveys, and community engagement to understand developer pain points and requirements
  • Analyze usage data, console analytics, and feedback to measure success and identify optimization opportunities
  • Advocate for developers throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring their voice influences all product decisions
  • Stay current on developer tools trends, best practices, and competitive landscape to inform strategy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, and Azure)
  • Familiarity with vector databases and generative AI
