Senior QA Automation Engineer

Summary

Join Encora as a Senior QA Engineer and become deeply involved in all phases of the product development lifecycle. You will define, implement, and execute both manual and automated tests, report on testing progress and performance, and collaborate with developers, designers, and customer support. This full-time, work-from-home position requires 6+ years of software quality testing with automation experience, including experience with Python, RESTful services, UI/End-to-End automation, and observability tools. Experience in an enterprise SaaS company on a public cloud is preferred, along with familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines. Strong communication skills and a growth mindset are essential.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software quality testing with automation experience
• 3+ years of experience in programming languages such as Python
• Experience testing RESTful services
• Experience in UI/End-End Automation
• Experience Working on high quality software in an enterprise SaaS company on a public cloud (any of AWS/Azure/GCP), preferably in an enterprise SaaS company
• Experience with observability tools (Splunk/New Relic/Datadog) in SaaS environments, Kubernetes, Docker Containers etc and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, preferably in SaaS environments
• Growth mindset - you pick up new technologies and tools easily, and you like working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills, and the ability to get your point across clearly
• Languages – Python or similar scripting language
• OS (Linux – Ubutu, Redhat)
• Virtualization – ESXi, Virtualbox

Responsibilities

• Author and automate test plans, test specification for the product features
• Design and develop scripts to automate feature regressions and critical workflows
• Drive tests and debug processes of multiple complex components of software technologies, systems, and applications
• Work with various developers, product designers, and customer support engineers within the company to deliver defect fixes and enhancements that follow the overall product direction
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and isolate defects and report them to a bug tracking database (such as JIRA)
• Test automation of web applications; experience with multiple automation test frameworks
