Remote Senior QA Automation Engineer

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Test Automation
• Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools (e.g., JIRA), and processes
• Proficiency in Java and/or TypeScript with hands-on experience in automated testing tools (Cypress, Playwright, Rest Assured)
• Experience with DevOps, Gradle, Jenkins, and Docker
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
• Ability to identify flaws in testing processes, toolsets, and infrastructure, and propose necessary improvements
• Very good written and verbal communication skills in English (at least C1)

Responsibilities

• Participating in Scrum team testing activities and supporting test strategy execution
• Promoting testing knowledge within the Agile team and assisting developers with testing
• Sharing expertise in testing tools and encouraging improvements
• Defining metrics and promoting testing awareness across Engineering
• Implementing a shift-left approach and defining test data requirements
• Reviewing requirements and user stories for feedback
• Designing, developing, and running automation scripts and frameworks (Cypress, Playwright, Rest Assured)
• Managing continuous integration (Jenkins) and leading the team toward continuous testing
• Collaborating closely with Software/Test Engineers and Product Managers to meet objectives
• Engaging in exploratory testing and improving product quality
• Coaching other SDETs and developers
