Senior QA Engineer

Summary

Join Nagarro, a dynamic digital product engineering company, as a Quality Assurance (QA) Lead. You will be responsible for the QA/Testing aspects of project deliverables, ensuring user requirements are met and releases are defect-free. This role involves analyzing and testing software throughout the Software Development Lifecycle, leading functional, integration, regression, and acceptance testing. You will create and execute test plans and cases, manage testing activities, and report quality assurance metrics. Technical responsibilities include recommending and implementing automation tools, designing automation scripts, and utilizing your knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and SQL. Leadership responsibilities include championing testing adoption, defining standards, and researching new tools and strategies. This position requires a Bachelor's degree and excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Responsible for producing and delivering high quality, structured, fully tested solutions on time, and in accordance with business requirements and IS standards
• Reviews business requirement documents and works closely with Business Analysts and the development team in reviewing and clarifying functional and non-functional aspects of the application
• Leads the delivery of functional (integration and system), regression and user acceptance testing activities
• Writes clear, concise, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Estimates, prioritizes, plans and coordinates testing activities
• Writes and executes test cases that will ensure comprehensive test coverage
• Develops necessary test data
• Develops and maintains manual test suites and test cases
• Responsible for finding, reproducing, and documenting issues for a product team in a clear and thorough manner
• Verifies defect fixes and performs follow-up work to resolve issues
• Performs thorough regression testing
• Tracks and reports quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
• Recommends and/or implements testing automation tools and approaches
• Designs, develops and executes automation scripts
• Poses a strong familiarity with HTML and JavaScript and has the ability to write moderately complex SQL queries as needed to verify test results and analyze problems
• Demonstrates an understanding of business and technical process flows and how to support them
• Champions testing adoption and promotes testing usage to all areas of IS, both inside and outside areas of application development
• Defines and governs testing related standards
