Summary

Join ShiftKey as a Senior QA Engineer and play a pivotal role in implementing and leading best practices for manual and automated testing. This dual-focused role involves contributing to Agile ceremonies, expanding API tests, and enhancing web testing capabilities. You will dedicate approximately 30% to 50% of your time to driving test automation initiatives and mentor less experienced QA engineers. Located in Poland, you'll enjoy the flexibility of remote work or working from our Warsaw office. This position requires at least 5 years of QA experience, including 2 years in test automation, proficiency in Cypress, and experience with various testing tools and methodologies. Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in QA, with a minimum of 2 years focused on test automation
  • Proficiency in Cypress for automation testing
  • Solid experience in TypeScript or JavaScript
  • Experience with any API test automation tool
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools
  • Hands-on experience implementing automation at various test levels (API, UI)
  • Ability to assess test coverage, identify gaps, and use appropriate tools to address them
  • Skilled in creating, executing, and maintaining both manual and automated tests for Web and Mobile applications
  • Strong understanding of Agile principles and methodologies
  • Experience in using SQL queries for testing purposes

Responsibilities

  • Design, create, and update tests for new functionality and regression tests, including those for the most complex IT solutions
  • Execute both manual and automated tests and document results using agreed standards
  • Participate in implementing automated testing strategies across multiple platforms (e.g., web, mobile) by designing and developing automated test cases
  • Analyze automated test case results and independently fix standard defects in automated tests
  • Proactively identify new opportunities and advocate for improvements to the current manual and automated testing processes
  • Mentor and elevate the technical skills of less experienced QA engineers
