Summary

Join Version 1, a leading technology services company, as a Senior Software Engineer in Test. You will be part of an agile team, contributing to client business transformation through testing. Responsibilities include defining and executing test strategies, plans, and scripts; accurately recording and monitoring issues; supporting scrum teams in test automation; reviewing test environments and processes; and providing test estimates. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in automated quality assurance, including cross-browser, functional, non-functional, API, integration, and acceptance testing. Experience with Java frameworks and open-source tools like Cypress, Karate, PlayWright, or Selenium is essential. A strong understanding of agile methodologies is also required. Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience of Automated Quality Assurance: Deliver overnight cross-browser, functional, non-functional, API, integration and acceptance tests
  • Delivered front end cross-browser functional testing, device testing, exploratory, systems integration and user acceptance testing e.g. manual testing
  • Confident with building and maintaining frameworks in Java
  • Have practical experience with open source tools such as: Cypress, Karate, PlayWright, Selenium or similar
  • Worked in an agile environment
  • Resident in the UK for five or more years with no more than 30 days per year out of the UK to meet Security Clearance (SC) eligibility or currently hold Security Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute test strategies, plans and scripts
  • Accurate recording and monitoring of issues
  • Providing support to the development of scrum teams to automate tests to guide development
  • Reviewing test environments and processes to facilitate continuous improvement and maintenance of quality standards
  • Providing test estimates

Preferred Qualifications

Any performance testing experience or other non-functional testing experience would be beneficial
