Senior React Native Engineer

Requirements

• 5+ years of mobile development experience, including 2+ years with React Native
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and mobile development principles
• Experience building and maintaining production apps for both iOS and Android
• Familiarity with mobile app architecture, state management, and performance tuning
• Understanding of mobile release processes and deployment pipelines
• Experience working in Agile development environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Advanced English skills for effective communication and collaboration in a global team
• Experience mentoring others or introducing new technologies to a team
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with evolving priorities

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product and Design to build high-impact mobile features using React Native
• Own technical decisions related to mobile app architecture, libraries, and tooling
• Define and iterate on mobile development best practices and patterns as the app evolves
• Help lead the shift from native development to React Native by mentoring teammates and contributing to documentation and internal knowledge-sharing
• Contribute to a high-quality user experience by building fast, reliable, and well-tested interfaces
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, edge cases, and platform-specific issues
• Stay up to date with React Native and mobile development trends to inform ongoing improvements
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code that aligns with our team’s standards
• Experiment with and leverage AI tools to improve development speed, code quality, and engineering workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in native iOS or Android development (Swift, Kotlin, Objective-C, Java)
• Experience leading or contributing to mobile app migrations or rebuilds
• Familiarity with Expo and the Expo ecosystem (e.g., OTA updates, Expo Router)
• Experience with Appium for end-to-end testing
• Strong understanding of global and async state management using Redux Toolkit and Redux Toolkit Query
