Summary

Join Guild, a company committed to unlocking talent and economic potential, as a Senior Revenue Accountant. This role involves contributing to the timely completion of various accounting functions within revenue and payment facilitation processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and overall accounting for revenue and payment facilitation activities. You will also assist in implementing system and process improvements in these areas. This position reports to the Revenue Accounting Manager and collaborates with the Transformation and Payment Operations teams.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of total experience in similar or related roles, preferably in dynamic cross-functional organizations where attention to detail and adaptability were essential
  • Experience in Billing, Finance, Accounting, or other technical operational area(s)
  • Proficient in excel

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the financial close processes, including posting journal entries and managing complex balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards related to revenue (inclusive of deferred revenue, accounts receivable and bad debt) and payment facilitation transactions
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reporting, and other financial flux activities
  • Collaborate with auditors and assist in the preparation of documentation and required schedules
  • Analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and propose solutions to improve accuracy and efficiency
  • Identify, communicate and assist in the implementation of process enhancements to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of close and cash application processes
  • Maintain an understanding of accounting principles and stay up to date on industry changes
  • Maintain effective internal controls to safeguard financial assets and mitigate risk
  • Oversee and evaluate new and renewing contracts, work closely with legal and partner teams, and ensure accurate revenue recognition across all products

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA preferred
  • Public Accounting experience preferred
  • NetSuite experience preferred
  • A healthy skeptical and inquisitive disposition with a drive to understand systems and processes and propose simple solutions
  • A desire to perform and maintain high standards of work & accuracy
  • A self-starter mindset with demonstrated time management skills and the ability to work independently, while managing multiple work-streams in a fast-paced, evolving work environment
