Senior Revenue Accountant

Summary

Join Reddit's Revenue Accounting team as a Senior Revenue Accountant! You will analyze revenue agreements and product accounting, collaborate across departments, and develop scalable revenue recognition processes. Responsibilities include preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and audit support. You'll also assess accounting treatments for new products and improve processes. This role requires 3+ years of accounting/audit experience, a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, and CPA certification (or progress towards it). Requirements

• 3+ years of accounting or audit experience required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• Basic knowledge of GAAP and SOX required
• CPA (or on track to be certified) required
• Possess excellent attention to detail, organizational, problem solving, and prioritization skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams in a remote environment
• Able to work under time pressure, prioritize a high workload, and meet strict deadlines
• Team player with a positive attitude and open mindset, not afraid to roll up your sleeves and work in a dynamic environment
• Proficiency in Excel, MS Office, and Google Workspace (e.g. Google Sheets and Slides) required

Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and monthly close deliverables
• Prepare monthly flux analysis for management review
• Prepare audit support for external and internal audits
• Assist in developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures & implementing internal control procedures (SOX) in areas of responsibility
• Assess the accounting treatment for new revenue agreements and products
• Establish effective relationships and work cross-functionally across the organization
• Develop new processes and drive process improvements and efficiencies for areas of responsibility
• Assist in any accounting-related system implementations
• Participate in special projects, analysis, and reporting as required by management

Preferred Qualifications

• ASC 606 experience strongly preferred
• Experience working with NetSuite and Salesforce a plus
