Requirements

  • 6+ years of combined experience in Big 4 audit and corporate revenue accounting in technology industry
  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance
  • Strong ASC 606 technical revenue recognition experience required
  • Experience in SAP and Oracle Cloud

Responsibilities

  • Review and assess sales contracts, PO terms and conditions and non-standard transactions for revenue recognition implication under ASC 606; document revenue recognition analysis and provide guidance to internal revenue team and cross functions
  • Perform technical research and analysis for significant revenue arrangements and write technical memos supporting the accounting position
  • Collaborate within revenue team and cross-functionally with Legal, Sales, Sales Ops, BU Finance, Product Management and Field Application Engineering to review and analyze issues around revenue recognition and advise revenue treatment
  • Perform various monthly and quarterly revenue close tasks, including validating product return reserves, programs, posting of monthly and quarterly revenue journal entries and preparing deferral revenue and refund liability reconciliations
  • Assist to establish and maintain revenue recognition policies and procedures to ensure US GAAP compliance and strong internal controls
  • Collaborate with other functional business units to perform quarterly revenue analytics
  • Design, implement and maintain effective key accounting processes, policies, and internal controls; Evaluate and recommend best practices for close optimization and process improvement opportunities
  • Maintain SOX control compliance for revenue related controls
  • Coordinate the audit requests in support of internal management and external audit to ensure that all revenue PBC deliverables are properly completed
  • Lead or assist with ad-hoc projects as needed and drive projects to successful completion

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA preferred
  • Proficient in Business Objects/Business Intelligence preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint skills
  • Strong communication (including technical memo writing) and analytical skills
