Senior Ruby Engineer

Summary

Join Workato, a leading enterprise orchestration company, as a Senior Ruby Engineer. You will be responsible for building API interfaces and backend infrastructure, collaborating with other teams to solve complex problems, and contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle. You will also be tasked with maintaining Workato's Connector, writing efficient code, evaluating and proposing system improvements, and investigating new technologies for architectural review.

Requirements

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• 4-8 years of industry experience
• Experience building and scaling distributed, highly available system
• Vast knowledge in Ruby Development
• Excellent debugging, analytical, problem solving, and social skills
• Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming and design

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Workato’s Connector
• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code
• Evaluate and propose improvements to existing system
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Redis/Memcache based caching is plus
• Experience with RDBMS engines (Postgres preferred) is plus
• Contributions to Open Source projects would be a plus
