Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer

Summary

Join Halo Media, an international agency with over 350 people, as a highly skilled Ruby on Rails Engineer. You will be part of a dynamic team building robust and scalable software infrastructure. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using Ruby on Rails, implementing and optimizing databases, writing clean and efficient code, conducting automated testing, and collaborating with other teams. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails, strong knowledge of front-end technologies, and experience with version control and Agile methodologies. This is a 100% remote position with a salary in USD, offering the opportunity to work on challenging projects for U.S. clients.

Requirements

• Proven experience with Ruby on Rails (3+ years)
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (React or Vue.js is a plus)
• Experience with version control systems like Git
• Familiarity with continuous deployment tools (Heroku, AWS, Docker is a plus)
• Ability to work in a team and adapt to Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Ruby on Rails
• Implement and optimize databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
• Conduct automated testing (RSpec, Capybara)
• Collaborate with design, product, and QA teams to ensure high-quality project delivery
• Troubleshoot and enhance application performance

Preferred Qualifications
