The position is remote in Germany, requiring native-level German and business-level English proficiency. The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of relevant experience, a strong understanding of cloud, security, and web technologies, and impeccable communication skills. Travel within the DACH region and to the USA is required.

Requirements

  • Candidates need to be native-level German language speakers to conduct all business engagements in German along with business level English language skills
  • Must have a right to work and live in Germany
  • 5+ year experience in a similar role, preferably pre-sales and SE roles
  • Experience selling to or working in relevant industry
  • Knowledge in cloud, security and web related technologies is required
  • Customer facing experience is essential
  • Experience performing demos in front of both technical and business focused prospects
  • Impeccable written communication skills are important
  • Comfortable keeping up with technology trends in cloud services
  • Open, curious and receptive to new ideas and ways of doing things
  • Willing to mentor junior sales engineers learn and grow
  • Willing to educate Account Executives and Account Managers
  • Ability to travel domestically

Responsibilities

  • Understand customer needs and build a technical sales strategy
  • Perform product demonstrations live in the field or via video conference
  • Provide pre-sales support to customers in establishment of configurations and services
  • Participate in product, sales and role-specific trainings so as to remain effective in your role
  • Be able to contribute content for general customer enablement
  • Assist in responding effectively to proposals, RFIs and RFPs
  • Work closely with Account Executives and Account Managers
  • Research prospects business/technology prior to engaging with the prospect
  • Build and support customer POC/POV solutions (this can include Security solutions such as WAF, DDoS, Bot Management, as well as Delivery, Streaming, Edge Compute and Cloud Storage)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of video streaming and W3 technologies is a plus
  • Ability to code/learn a web scripting / programming language (Varnish / VCL / JavaScript / Rust / Go)
  • Being located in a major city or easy access to an airport is highly desirable
