Summary

The Senior Sales Engineer role at Innovapptive involves leading solution selling, assisting sales personnel in qualifying customer needs, demonstrating the product, capturing requirements, creating necessary documentation, participating in strategic accounts, providing mentoring, scoping and delivering Proof of Concept/Pilot engagements, responding to RFI/RFP, supporting marketing events, staying current on competitive analyses, and acting as the Innovapptive subject matter expert at Executive briefings/marketing events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 7 years of strong Pre-sales or Solution Engineering experience in Enterprise Asset Management or Supply Chain
  • Strong client-facing communication skills, with the ability explain product functionality, technical design and limitations at the client’s executive level as well as to developers or other client experts
  • Strong sales orientation
  • Attention to detail, plus analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Assist the sales personnel in the qualification of Enterprise customer needs and performing pre-demo needs analysis
  • Demonstrations of the product, both standard and tailored to prospects and existing customers, both onsite and via web conference
  • Capture prospect/customer requirements and work with sales to write solution proposals detailing how Innovapptive’s solutions will address business needs
  • Create necessary documentation, presentations, and product demonstrations to teach clients about Innovapptive functionality and the value proposition
  • Participation in one or more strategic accounts either in support or lead
  • Provide mentoring and training to peers and other colleagues in the organization
  • Scoping and delivering Proof of Concept/Pilot engagements with prospects
  • Responding to Request for Information/Proposal documents
  • Supporting Marketing events – user conferences, trade shows, webinars etc
  • Staying current on competitive analyses and understanding differentiators between the company and its competitors
  • In conjunction with Sales Personnel and Professional Services, conduct transition briefing - communicate commitments, expectations etc in preparation for deployment
  • Act as the Innovapptive subject matter expert at Executive briefings/marketing events
