Summary

Applied Labs is seeking an experienced Senior Shopify Developer to join their team as a technical manager for clients. The role involves developing custom Shopify themes and apps, optimizing stores, integrating APIs, mentoring junior developers, and structuring the company's educational program. Preferred qualifications include experience with Shopify Plus, backend knowledge, Agile methodologies, and certifications.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Shopify development
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Liquid, and Shopify’s development environment
• Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations
• Strong understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders
• High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work

Responsibilities

• Help our customers to develop a technical solution and serve as their virtual technical manager
• Design, develop, and implement custom Shopify themes and apps to meet client requirements
• Optimize Shopify stores for performance, speed, and conversion rate
• Develop and integrate custom features and functionalities to enhance the user experience
• Work with third-party APIs and services to integrate additional functionalities into Shopify stores
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and bugs in a timely manner
• Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical assistance and code reviews

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Shopify Plus and advanced e-commerce features
• Familiarity with backend technologies and server-side development
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments
• Shopify Developer Certification or other relevant certifications
