Requirements

  • B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, site reliability, or DevOps
  • Expertise with AWS
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
  • Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, TLS, and VPNs
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excited to work in a fast-paced environment with new opportunities each week

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code components for Muon’s cloud and on-premises compute environments
  • Implement tools and automation to empower software engineers to effectively and efficiently develop, test, and deploy their applications
  • Implement security best practices and infrastructure to protect Muon’s systems and ensure compliance with applicable requirements
  • Develop and implement standards for SLAs, monitoring, incident response, and disaster recovery

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Python development and Bash scripting
  • Experience with configuration management tools like Terraform, Ansible
  • Familiarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems
  • Experience with the Azure cloud ecosystem
  • Experience managing CI/CD in cloud-based development, staging, and production environments
  • Strong Linux fundamentals
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity compliance frameworks such as NIST-800-171 and GovCloud
