Summary
Join Ten Mile Square Technologies, a high-end technology consulting firm, as a Senior DevOps Site Reliability Engineer. You will play a key role in establishing a new cloud SRE team and capability within a large financial services enterprise. This position involves hands-on implementation of automations, improvements, and maintenance upgrades. You will contribute expertise in cloud infrastructure initiatives, observability, and SLA/SLO objectives. The role also includes incident response, troubleshooting, and developing runbooks. This is a remote position with occasional in-person meetings in Baltimore.
Requirements
- Serious expertise with observability, not just tools, practice and application
- Knowledge of reliability testing
- Working knowledge of AWS networking
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities
- Actively participate in the standing up of an effective SRE capability for the cloud platform and services
- Contribute expertise to shape efficient operations of a new SRE team
- Provide hands-on implementation of automations, improvements, maintenance upgrades, and other cloud infrastructure initiatives and tasks as part of the SRE team
- Provide expertise and hands-on scalable implementations for enterprise observability
- Provide recommendations, designs, and implementations for SLA/SLO objectives
- Incident response and troubleshooting of production incidents
- Develop and maintain runbooks
Preferred Qualifications
- That said, also experience with observability frameworks, OTEL is a bonus
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, especially AWS cloud. Experience with hybrid on-prem private cloud / AWS public cloud is a plus
