Senior Software Development Engineer

Summary

Join GoDaddy's team as a Software Development Engineer to contribute to the development and maintenance of the company's homepage and regional variants. You will be responsible for developing both front-end and back-end components, managing content infrastructure, monitoring service performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams using agile methodologies. This is a remote position based in Colombia, with occasional visits to a GoDaddy office. The ideal candidate possesses strong proficiency in JavaScript, experience with modern frameworks like React and Next.js, and a solid understanding of RESTful APIs. The role requires expertise in CI/CD processes and Agile development environments. Requirements

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, with hands-on experience using modern frameworks like React and Next.js for building scalable front-end applications
• Skilled in designing and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating them into web applications, with a solid understanding of HTTP, JSON, and async operations
• Familiar with testing frameworks and tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress for ensuring code quality and reliability
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar, along with version control using Git
• Experienced in Agile development environments (Scrum), with collaboration through tools like JIRA and participation in code reviews and stand-ups

Responsibilities

• Development of GoDaddy's homepage and its regional variants, covering both front-end and back-end components
• Manage content infrastructure, including CMS, content delivery systems, and CDN rules and redirects
• Monitor service performance to ensure high-quality user and partner experiences
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and follow agile methodologies such as stand-ups, code reviews, and CI/CD
• Provide support for Jenkins, GitHub, and perform database/log queries using tools like Elastic

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with SQL or DB querying and Elastic is a plus
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving solving and communication skills, with a strong customer focus
