Senior Software Engineer

Summary

Justlife, a fast-growing Dubai-based tech startup specializing in home services, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Backend to join its Engineering department. The role involves contributing to various projects such as customer-to-supplier dispatching algorithms, real-time order tracking, API development and optimization, database modeling, and improving availability and assignment algorithms.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Java
• Experience with MVC frameworks such as Spring Boot
• High comfort level with RDBMS (MySQL) and MongoDB
• Proficient in working with ORM frameworks such as Hibernate
• Experience with message queues (RabbitMQ) and cache storage (Redis)
• Solid understanding of MVC architecture and RESTful services
• Good grasp of the SOLID principles
• Strong object-oriented programming and design pattern skills
• Comfortable with Git version control system

Responsibilities

Contribute to various projects such as customer-to-supplier dispatching algorithms, real-time order tracking, API development and optimization, database modeling, and improving availability and assignment algorithms

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus
• Willingness to work with PHP 7 (Symfony and Doctrine)
• Willingness to participate in our on-call rota
• Performing unit and integration tests to ensure backend services' reliability
