Senior Software Engineer

Summary

The job is for a senior software engineer at LiquidX Studio's Pixelmon project, a high-conviction venture studio within web3. The role involves developing the web3 application layer that powers their ecosystem, including building IP through NFTs and FTs, creating engaging technology products for the Pixelmon community, and developing the web3 integration layer between games and NFTs.

Requirements

• More than 4 years of experience in a software engineering role, within a product or engineering-led team
• Strong ability to break down business requirements into technical requirements, and communicate technical tradeoffs
• Experience working and/or leading technical scrum teams
• Confident in our Web2 technology stack: NextJS, Tailwind (Shacdn), Typescript, Postgres, MongoDB, Redis, NestJS
• Confident in system and architecture design e.g. event-driven architectures, three-tier architecture, pub/sub, MVC, caching and distributed systems
• Comfortable in a serverless and microservice architecture
• Comfortable with setting up, maintaining and monitoring cloud infrastructure (e.g. Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Azure) and containerisation (e.g. docker)

Responsibilities

• Developing the web3 application layer that powers our ecosystem
• Building IP through Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) and Fungible Tokens (FTs)
• Creating engaging and innovative technology products to engage and support our Pixelmon community
• Developing the web3 integration layer between our upcoming games and NFTs

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiar with Solidity and EVM
• Familiar with gaming development tools e.g. unity, aws lumberyard
