Senior Software Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Senior TypeScript Engineer at Prisma, a small startup focused on data infrastructure. The candidate should have 5+ years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer, solid experience in backend engineering with JavaScript and TypeScript, and experience building developer tools.

Requirements

• 5+ Years experience as a Senior Software Engineer or equivalent
• Solid experience as a backend engineer with JavaScript and TypeScript codebases
• Experience building developer tools

Responsibilities

• Work on expanding the Prisma Client to support advanced database functions in collaboration with Prisma's Query Engine Engineers
• Continuously improve our codebase to create a stable, well-tested product that's easy to contribute to
• Work on new libraries & tools that will be used as building blocks internally and for users
• Help Prisma to adopt the latest TypeScript features and keep us at the cutting edge of the technology

Preferred Qualifications

• Maintainer of or contributor to an open source project
• Experience with Rust
• Experience with Edge platforms (Vercel Edge, Cloudflare Workers)
• WASM experience
