Senior Software Engineer

Summary

Join Ryz Labs as a Senior Software Engineer on a contract basis, contributing to core application logic, deployment infrastructure, and database management. You will utilize your expertise in Java, Scala, or Kotlin, along with experience in deployment infrastructure, Jenkins scripting, and database migrations. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Expertise in at least one of the following languages: Java, Scala, or Kotlin
• Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices
• Experience with deployment infrastructure and tooling
• Proficiency in Jenkins scripting and build tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle, sbt)
• Experience with database migrations and configuration
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new and unknown systems
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy software solutions using Java, Scala, or Kotlin
• Work with deployment infrastructure and tooling
• Write and maintain Jenkins scripts and utilize build tools
• Perform Cortex scripting for application monitoring and alerting
• Utilize GitHub for version control and collaboration
• Contribute to application coding tasks, including library upgrades
• Perform database migrations and configuration
• Create and maintain clear and concise technical documentation
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
