Remote Senior Software Engineer

Summary

The job description is for a core member of Shiftsmart's engineering team who will lead complex technical projects, design and build features, drive the technical vision, and mentor junior engineers. The role is open to remote candidates in the US and Canada.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of software engineering experience
• Core competency in Javascript or Python and enjoy learning about and using new technologies

Responsibilities

• Lead complex technical projects from ideation and design through production and deployment
• Design, architect, and build highly-performant and reliable technical features, tools, and services using Node.js, React/React Native, Mongo, Python, GCP, Javascript
• Drive the technical vision, influence product strategy, and conduct regular technical reviews
• Monitor and maintain the performance of our product and platform in a high user volume, two-sided marketplace environment to resolve issues and clear the shift marketplace
• Serve as a mentor for junior engineers and participate in scaling our team
