Summary

Join Synctera's platform team as a Software Engineer and contribute to the development and enhancement of our FinTech infrastructure. You will collaborate with product teams, design and maintain Google Cloud and CI/CD infrastructure, develop services in Go, and solve complex engineering problems. This high-autonomy role requires experience with Go, Kubernetes, cloud-native technologies, and infrastructure-as-code tools. You will work directly with a broad range of product and engineering teams, acting as an escalation point for infrastructure issues. Requirements

  • Experience with Go or a comparable structured and opinionated language
  • Extensive experience with Kubernetes and related cloud-native technologies like Argo and Istio
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting platform tools such as Prometheus, Alertmanager & Grafana
  • Experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tooling
  • Experience with at least one major cloud provider, preferably Google Cloud

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the product team and engineers to understand financial services challenges and develop effective solutions
  • Help define and drive Synctera’s infrastructure and developer experience roadmap
  • Design, enhance, and maintain Synctera's Google Cloud and CI/CD infrastructure
  • Develop services and utilities in Go
  • Solve engineering problems as part of a small team
  • Work across engineering teams to build top-tier platform tooling and enhance the developer experience
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure platform stability
  • Identify and implement cleaner, more efficient solutions to technical problems
  • Advocate for modern infrastructure and development best practices, fostering knowledge-sharing across the team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Python / GitLab APIs / Google Cloud APIs / Postgres
  • Familiarity with security compliance frameworks (PCI, SOC 2, SOC 1)
  • Experience being a part of early-stage, fast-moving engineering teams
