Summary

The job description is for a Senior Backend Developer position in Hopper Fintech Ancillaries team. The role involves designing, implementing, deploying, and operating complex backend systems to integrate fintech offerings with large travel companies and scale them globally. Requirements

• Strong understanding of distributed systems and how architectural decisions affect performance and maintainability
• Excelled in cross-functional teams, working fluidly with Product Managers, Data Scientists, Frontend Engineers, and other highly skilled specialists
• A passionate focus on quality, writing testable code that performs and scales
• Prior cloud experience

Responsibilities

Design, implement, deploy, and operate the complex backend systems that power our integrations

Preferred Qualifications

• Working with Scala and its libraries (ideally, not required)
• Prior travel or eCommerce experience
