Senior Software Engineer - IDE Integrations

Summary

Join Datadog's IDE Integration team as a Software Engineer to build developer tools integrated into the Datadog plugin for JetBrains IDEs. You will leverage Datadog runtime data and analytics to solve problems within the IDE, collaborating closely with other Datadog teams on products like Logs, Error Tracking, Dynamic Instrumentation, and Continuous Profiler. This role offers the opportunity to own a significant portion of a high-impact product. The ideal candidate possesses experience in building developer tools, a strong understanding of Kotlin and Coroutines, and a commitment to iterative development and simplicity. Responsibilities

• Build tools for developers that help them solve problems in their IDE using Datadog runtime data and analytics
• Work tightly with teams at Datadog on exciting products, like Logs , Error Tracking , Dynamic Instrumentation and Continuous Profiler
• Own a meaningful part of a high visibility product with growing impact

Preferred Qualifications

• You are proficient in multiple programming languages (we support multiple JetBrains IDEs)
• You are comfortable working with distributed teams
• You have experience writing testable and maintainable code
• You are curious and open-minded about AI-assisted workflows
