Summary

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional development experience with full stack web applications
  • Fluency with SQL
  • Comfortable working on an agile team and curious about learning new things
  • Enjoy collaborating with teammates and pair programming
  • Enjoy coaching & growing engineers
  • Comfortable moving fast and working through ambiguity - we are a small startup and are working on balancing the demands of business growth and platform reliability

Responsibilities

  • Design and expand the capabilities of our full stack application (built with Ruby on Rails, GraphQL, and React) which provide insights into customers’ data
  • Build thoughtful UI and components by contributing to our design system/component library
  • Build and improve data pipelines with DBT and SQL
  • Build on the foundation of a well tested codebase to ensure it remains robust and scalable as our business rapidly grows
  • Identify areas for growth and iteration on our application stack and advocate for them on the engineering roadmap
  • Conduct research and experiments to help us make strategic decisions, anticipating the next problem we will be solving
  • Help deliver features to drive monthly active users, customer utilization, and customer satisfaction
  • Align with unit tests, code patterns, and current data model constraints while releasing code iteratively within a specified timeline
  • Conduct thoughtful reviews that check logical changes, variable naming, comment, quality, and unnecessary intermediate states
  • Identify/seek opportunities to contribute in ways that support the larger organization
  • Set personal growth goals to upskill that are aligned with the career ladder

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Ruby on Rails
  • Experience with React & Redux
  • Experience with Docker & AWS
  • GraphQL API design experience
