Summary
Join Henry Schein One as a Sr. Software Engineer in Test (Sr. SET) to contribute to the quality engineering of Dentrix Enterprise, a large-scale desktop application. You will design and implement automated tests using TestComplete with JavaScript, investigate and resolve regression failures, and maintain test frameworks. Collaborate with engineering and product teams to develop test strategies, conduct various testing types (functional, regression, smoke, acceptance), and perform backend testing using SQL. Advocate for quality engineering best practices within an Agile/Scrum environment. This remote position requires 5+ years of experience in test automation and/or software development, along with expertise in C, C++, C#, and relevant testing tools. Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in test automation and/or software development
- Experience with our tech stack
- Knowledge of desktop application testing, especially in C, C++, and C# environments
- Familiarity with client-server architecture and debugging tools
- Ability to design effective test strategies from specification or source code
- Excellent knowledge of test cases, test plans, test suites and application design patterns
- Ability to problem-solve in a technical space and collaborate across teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated test scripts using TestComplete for a complex, enterprise desktop application used by large dental practices
- Monitor and troubleshoot nightly regression test executions, identifying and reporting issues
- Create and maintain test plans, cases, and documentation in Xray and Jira
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to understand architecture and build test strategies that support release readiness
- Conduct functional, regression, smoke, and acceptance testing
- Write SQL queries to validate data and perform backend testing as part of end-to-end workflows
- Advocate for quality engineering best practices in a desktop software environment
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to SDLC milestones
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelorβs Degree in Computer Science
- ISTQB certified
- Understanding of HL7 and FHIR
- Experience mentoring or guiding junior QA team members
