Summary

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a minimum of 4 years in a leadership role managing 5 or more people
  • Strong expertise in software QA methodologies, tools, and processes, particularly in cloud-based environments with automated testing
  • Experience with cloud services
  • Proficiency with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium or Cypress

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement thorough test plans and cases in line with project requirements and business objectives
  • Partner with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive testing of features and functionalities
  • Identify risk areas and prioritize testing efforts to ensure critical functionalities are thoroughly tested
  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard tools such as Selenium, Cypress, and TestNG
  • Champion the creation and integration of automated testing frameworks for repetitive and regression tests in cloud environments, enhancing efficiency and accuracy
  • Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure consistent execution and prompt feedback
  • Perform detailed manual testing of new features, including regression and exploratory testing, to detect defects
  • Test across various environments (development, staging, production) to ensure a seamless user experience
  • Log, track, and manage defects efficiently, collaborating with developers for timely resolution
  • Engage actively in Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Work closely with Agile teams to integrate QA activities throughout the development lifecycle
  • Provide ongoing feedback to developers and product owners, advocating for quality at every stage
  • Lead efforts to enhance QA processes, including adopting new tools, techniques, and best practices
  • Mentor junior QA engineers, offering guidance on both manual and automated testing best practices
  • Contribute to the development and upkeep of QA documentation, including test plans, cases, and reports
