Senior Solutions Architect

Summary

Join 540 as a Senior Solutions Architect and partner with Google to build new capabilities for an Air Force integration platform. This remote role, based within the continental US with East Coast hours, involves technical delivery and architecture for a DoD project. Up to 25% travel may be required. You will need a US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. Requirements

• 8+ years experience in a technical leadership role
• Extensive experience in the following areas: Kubectl
• Helm
• Building enterprise software application architectures using AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform
• Strong personal programming skills in a strongly-typed language like Java/Kotlin/C/etc
• Understanding of SAML and OAuth authentication protocols
• Currently possess a Professional level cloud architecture certification, preferably GCP Professional Cloud Architect
• Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as excellent communication skills, verbal and written to both technical and non-technical audiences through remote communication tools
• Ability to work independently (as if on an island) with clients, but also be a consummate team player

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related engineering field (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Plan and support design, implementation, and troubleshooting of cloud systems and environments, including long-term technical planning
• Support cloud systems and application development teams with daily tasks
• Take responsibility for decisions on cloud architecture, networking, software implementations, and technical architecture
• Plan and support deployment and configuration of multiple applications by designing and supporting development of automated Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
• Write technical documentation regarding system architecture, configuration, and design decisions
• Work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to develop and execute requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the following technologies or areas of expertise: Keycloak
• Vertex AI
• Database development
• DevSecOps best practices
• Linux skills (especially with RHEL)
• API Gateways and API Management platforms such as Google Apigee
• Working in an Agile software development environment
• Experience working on US Federal Government projects, specifically with the Department of Defense
