Senior Solutions Architect

Join Very Good Ventures as a Senior Architect to guide the architecture, design, and technical execution of projects, working closely with internal teams and external client subject matter experts.

Requirements

• 7+ years in software engineering, architecture, or a similar role, with a proven track record of successful project delivery
• Strong understanding of modern tech stacks, front-end mobile/web development, cloud architecture (e.g., AWS, GCP), APIs, Microservices, databases, and DevOps practices
• Demonstrated ability to approach complex problems strategically, applying robust solutions to meet diverse client needs
• Exceptional ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience leading and mentoring technical teams, fostering a collaborative, supportive, and innovative environment

Responsibilities

• Articulate Very Good Ventures’ technical capabilities and delivery approach to prospective clients
• Spearhead ambiguous spaces, often in the pre-sales phase of a commercial pursuit, to make architectural recommendations with little context
• Lead scoping sessions to accurately assess technical requirements, define the level of effort, and identify resourcing needs essential for successful delivery
• Develop scalable, high-performing architectures that align with business needs
• Form strong relationships with client leaders and engage directly with client delivery teams to ensure project requirements and resources are effectively aligned
• Cultivate expertise in technology areas relevant to client needs and VGV’s offerings
• Develop and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, including system component diagrams, data flow diagrams, deployment diagrams, integration points, and decision records
• Conducts feasibility analysis of potential concepts and future-state experiences
• Partner with our prototyping team to further explore technical feasibility
• Act as a flexible resource, providing targeted architectural guidance to in-progress projects across the organization

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Flutter and modern frameworks, understanding VGV’s emphasis on cross-platform solutions
• Experience with Agile methodologies and a commitment to continuous improvement
