Summary

Join GoDaddy's Finance team as a SOX Compliance and Risk Management professional, where you'll play a key role in ensuring compliance with SOX regulations across the annual cycle. You'll work closely with partners to assess risks, improve processes, and enhance control automation, leveraging technology to optimize execution. This role involves testing and assessing controls, identifying gaps, and contributing to the ongoing improvement of the SOX program. You'll report to the Director of Risk Management and be responsible for advancing the SOX program, coordinating with external auditors, and improving program efficiency.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in SOX compliance, internal audit, or external audit
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, Computer Information Systems, or related field
  • CPA, CIA, CISA, or other relevant certifications
  • Recent public accounting background from a Big 4 Firm
  • Strong understanding of SOX 404 and internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO, COBIT)
  • Experience testing SOX IT General and IT Automated business process controls
  • Experience working with business partners and IT to assess and improve control environments

Responsibilities

  • Help advance the SOX program by supporting compliance activities. This includes performing walkthroughs and testing business and IT controls, ensuring they meet regulatory expectations and industry standards
  • Help with SOX readiness by learning future processes, risks, and controls. Identify any control gaps and work with partners to fix them
  • Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate SOX compliance audits, ensuring timely and effective responses to requests
  • Improve the SOX program and make processes more efficient by simplifying them and their controls
  • Assist in updating and enhancing SOX documentation, risk assessments, and reports, using automation tools when possible
  • Identify control deficiencies and trends and partner with internal teams to support remediation planning
  • Maintain strong cross-functional relationships across business and IT partners to support program objectives
