Senior Staff Engineer

Summary

Join our team as an AI/ML Engineer specializing in Generative AI and Machine Learning! You will leverage your deep understanding of LLMs and their architectures, along with expert-level prompt engineering skills, to implement RAG patterns. Experience with fine-tuning, distillation, and evaluation techniques is crucial, as is familiarity with vector and graph databases. Proficiency in Python and standard AI/ML libraries is a must, as is experience with managed AI/ML services on Azure. Experience with structured and unstructured data is desired, as is familiarity with MLOps concepts. This role demands a strong foundation in AI/ML, particularly within the context of Azure's cloud platform.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of LLMs (e.g., GPTs, Llama, Claude, Gemini, Qwen, Mistral, BERT-family models) and their architectures (Transformers)
• Expert-level prompt engineering skills
• Proven experience implementing RAG patterns
• Experience with fine-tuning and distillation techniques and evaluation
• Familiarity with vector and graph databases (e.g., Weaviate, Neo4j)
• Understanding of GenAI evaluation metrics (e.g., BLEU, ROUGE, perplexity, semantic similarity, human evaluation)
• High proficiency in Python and standard AI/ML libraries (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, LangGraph, LangSmith, Hugging Face Transformers, Scikit-learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow)
• Experience using managed AI/ML services on the target cloud platform (e.g., Azure Machine Learning Studio, AI Foundry)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with both structured and unstructured data
• Familiarity with experiment tracking (e.g., MLflow), model versioning, and monitoring concepts
