Requirements
- At least 2+ years of experience in a supply chain role or similar
- Strong analytical capabilities, mastery of Excel is required
- Grittiness. You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and address something hands-on, you persevere when others fall away
- High level of attention to detail & speed of execution, the role will require lots of daily operational follow ups
- Strong communication skills, as you will need to communicate with all levels of Supplier & DC operation teams
- Self-starter - the ability to self-serve, investigate and get the data we require will make you much more effective in this role
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure that products and stock levels are always available and delivered on time
- Collaborate with different stakeholders such as demand planning, commercial and supply chain team to ensure the right inventory levels and availability of assortment for Careem Groceries
- Conduct regular reviews with suppliers to assess performance and identify areas for improvement
- Resolve supplier issues and disputes promptly and efficiently
- Create & Maintain delivery schedules between Distribution Center, Suppliers & Stores for inventory transfer
- Ensure timely returns of all damaged, expired and non-usable items from Stores to Suppliers
- Maintain master-data for all SKUs, ensuring product configurations are accurately captured from Suppliers and reflected on internal systems
- Follow up with Suppliers on non-delivered items, running an RCA (root cause analysis) and constantly improve fill-rates to reduce out-of-stock
- Manage promotional stock transfers from DC, Supplier and between stores to ensure high availability
Preferred Qualifications
- Time spent in tech, logistics, or a start-up is a plus
- Bachelors in Engineering, with a focus on Supply Chain or Operations Management is a plus
- Bonus points for technical ability in SQL
