Requirements
- Minimum 4 yearsโ experience in Australian Public Practice is preferred, demonstrated equivalent commercial experience may be considered
- Bachelorโs degree in a relevant subject: CA/CPA qualified
- Thorough knowledge of accepted accounting practices and principles. Australian Standards
- Demonstrated technical abilities and experience in using MYOB AE, Excel Microsoft Outlook, QuickBooks, MYOB Account Right and Xero. ATO Portal
- Thorough knowledge of applicable business and tax laws, codes and regulations. Able to understand and complete a Division 7A Loan Reconciliation workpaper
- Experience in completing Australian tax returns for individuals, trust, companies and partnerships
Responsibilities
- Compile and analyse financial information to prepare financial statements for Sole Traders, Companies and Trusts, including monthly, quarterly and annual BASโs and income tax returns
- Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
- Provide matters for consideration for review by Managers/Directors
- Agree all workflow deadlines before commencing work and ensure these deadlines are met
- Complete all workpaper files before providing for review
- Check taxation and other correspondence before submitting to Managers/Directors
- Research taxation matters and communicate findings with Managers/Directors
- Delegate and supervise appropriate work to Intermediates/Graduates
- Mentor Intermediates/ Graduates
- Assist in preparing advisory based services to clients
