Join Coalesce's innovative team as a Senior Technical Product Designer to lead the design of sophisticated SaaS products. Collaborate with product and engineering teams, defining and shaping products that meet complex customer needs. This role requires leading design initiatives, conducting user research, working with product managers and engineers, and advocating for design best practices. You will enhance existing products, manage stakeholder relationships, and collaborate with distributed teams. Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of proven experience as a Product Designer, preferably with experience designing complex, technical SaaS products
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Demonstrated ability to solve challenging design problems and translate complex concepts into elegant, intuitive solutions. Reduce the scope, complexity, and ambiguity of projects to a more manageable state
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong proficiency in Figma and familiarity with other design and prototyping tools
- Experience working with design component libraries, knowing when to leverage existing components or create new ones
- Excellent communication (Fluent in both French and English) and interpersonal skills; adept at collaborating effectively with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders. Participate in design reviews, exchanging feedback appropriately
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Proven experience working within Agile/Scrum methodologies in cross-functional teams
- A proactive, independent worker capable of managing priorities effectively in a remote, dynamic startup environment
- Familiarity with accessibility best practices and WCAG guidelines
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design processes, creating intuitive and visually compelling user interfaces, user flows, and interactive prototypes
- Take ownership of new features, from initial research and concept through design and user validation
- Conduct targeted user research and usability testing to deeply understand customer and stakeholder needs, informing design decisions
- Work closely with product managers to define product requirements and translate them into actionable design solutions
- Engage actively with engineering teams, ensuring feasibility and high-quality execution of designs
- Continuously enhance our existing product by identifying areas for improvement and proposing innovative solutions
- Advocate for and help evolve design guidelines, standards, and best practices across the organization
- Manage relationships and drive alignment with internal stakeholders
- Collaborate effectively with distributed teams across multiple time zones, including North America, Europe and New Zealand
- Drive non-feature related design projects, such as ensuring the seamless integration of multiple products' look and feel
Preferred Qualifications
Solid understanding of data management concepts, data warehousing, or related technical domains
