Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years experience in a technology role working directly with software engineers, with at least 2 years in a Technical Program Manager role
  • A track record of managing large, technically complex projects spanning multiple teams and external vendors
  • Develop structured approaches to problem-solving and drive to support decisions with logic and data
  • Embrace a utility mindset and are willing to tackle non-glamorous, high-impact problems to fill gaps and ensure success
  • Excel at juggling many tasks, context switching, and communicating technically complex problems
  • Able to ramp quickly into a problem, project, or domain and route the team around problems
  • Excel at understanding and analyzing complex systems across people, processes and technology and identifying interdependencies
  • Experience operating in a highly technical domain (e.g Video engineering, Distributed Systems, Cloud infrastructure, etc)

Responsibilities

  • Identify and prioritize strategic investments to streamline engineering operations and enhance operational rigor
  • Sequence and prioritize work for engineering teams to drive efficient execution
  • Be the leader of operational strategy and team initiatives
  • Influence and empower teams to deliver with quality and efficiency
  • Manage issue escalations, remove blockers, and reduce complexity to maintain momentum and progress
  • Oversee and manage multiple technically complex, cross-functional projects, collaborating closely with Engineering and Product Managers
  • Monitor, evaluate, and enhance engineering processes to ensure sustained efficiency
  • Embrace unglamorous but critical tasks, such as triaging issues, resolving blockers, chasing deliverables, and running meetings to ensure project delivery stays aligned and focused
  • Develop a working knowledge of the tech stack to effectively support deeply technical teams
