Summary

Abacus Works is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to work on Hyperlane, a permissionless interoperability layer between blockchains. The role involves developing and maintaining Typescript smart contract frameworks, improving SDKs, enhancing user interaction with smart contracts, and ensuring operational excellence.

Requirements

• 3+ years of Typescript/Javascript/ Node.js
• 2+ years of experience working with Ethereum or similar blockchain-based smart contract platforms
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to operate independently under uncertainty
• Strong sense of initiative and ownership
• The drive, intensity, and motivation to perform at a world class level

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Typescript side of our smart contract framework, ensuring robustness and reliability
• Deploy and continually improve our SDKs for both internal and external use, streamlining the integration process for developers
• Enhance user interaction with Hyperlane's smart contracts via end-user products, such as the Warp Template UI and the Hyperlane Explorer
• Work closely with the engineering team to improve the Developer Experience (DevEx) of deploying and interacting with Hyperlane smart contracts, aiming for simplicity and ease of use
• Operate primarily as an Individual Contributor focusing on the development and deployment of our Software Development Kits (SDKs) to enhance accessibility for developers
• Ensure the smooth functioning of our smart contracts, maintaining operational excellence across all projects
