Summary
Join Esper, a company empowering dynamic policymaking in government, as a Senior UX Designer. Reporting to the VP of Product, you will be the sole designer on the Product and Design team, significantly impacting product development and customer experience. Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in Enterprise SaaS UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design work and process
- Strong design strategy focused on data-heavy SaaS platforms and ecosystems
- Qualitative research experience with customers
- Strong critical and design thinking skills focused on workflow-based products
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and identify/prioritize problems to be tackled based on project needs and timelines
- Understanding of design systems and component-based design
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and working with developers and product managers
- An eye for visual design but a focus on process flow, information architecture, and micro-interactions
Responsibilities
- Identify design problems and create elegant solutions
- Conduct user research to understand user needs, behaviors, and motivations
- Design user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and final designs that effectively communicate design concepts and solutions, while ensuring a consistent user experience across all touchpoints
- Collaborate across design, engineering, and product teams to understand technical and business requirements and ensure the design is feasible
- Work closely with developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs
- Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, techniques, and best practices
- Collaborate with engineering to create and maintain a design system in a system like Storybook
- Be an expert in creating accessible designs to meet regulatory requirements
