Summary

Join Seedworld as a VFX Artist to work on their Metaverse project using Unreal 5.3. Responsibilities include creating visual effects art assets, collaborating with team members, and adhering to artistic standards. Required qualifications include at least 4 years of experience in similar roles, prior experience creating 2D and 3D stylized visual effects, experience working with Unreal game engine and Niagara, and knowledge of software like Maya/Blender/Houdini, Photoshop/Substance, Embergen, etc. Desired qualifications include good visual and technical understanding of FX shader, strong artistic eye, knowledge of all 3D requirements before shader (UV, Texture), experience with developing shaders/materials, fast, organized, collaborative, and fluent level in English.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in similar roles with at least one AAA game shipped on PC or console
  • Prior experience creating 2D and 3D stylized visual effects
  • Experience working with Unreal game engine and Niagara
  • Knowledge of software like Maya/Blender/Houdini, Photoshop/Substance, Embergen, etc

Responsibilities

  • Create visual effects art assets that balance performance, efficiency, and artistry to achieve optimal run time visual quality and game performance
  • Research, conceptualize and derive quality visual effects from references to apply on various aspects of the game
  • Collaborate with the art director, game designers, and developers to ensure that VFX meets the game requirements while adhering to artistic standards
  • Share knowledge and best practices with teammates
  • Actively participate in technical and artistic discussions and problem solving
  • Ability to summarize his work and documentation for internal & external communication

Preferred Qualifications

  • Good visual and technical understanding of FX shader
  • Good artistic eye to complement the technical knowledge and ease collaboration with the Art Director
  • Strong knowledge of all the 3D requirements before shader (UV, Texture) and full game pipelines
  • Experience with developing shaders/materials
  • Fast, organized, collaborative and able to handle feedback
  • Strong organizational, communication skills and a fluent level in English along with understanding production values, deadlines and priorities
