Senior VFX Producer

Summary

Join Zoic Studios, a Visual Effects company, as a Senior VFX Producer in Vancouver, BC. This position, anticipated to open in the future, requires high-level client and internal team management skills for film and TV projects. Responsibilities include financial oversight, bidding, artist assignment, scheduling, progress tracking, client communication, and pipeline management. Candidates must have VFX vendor experience, 3D/2D artist management experience, budgeting skills, and proficiency in relevant software. While the position is currently remote, it may transition to in-office work. The salary range is $140K-$150K, depending on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

• Have prior experience working for a VFX vendor
• Have experience managing 3D and 2D artists in production
• Have knowledge and experience budgeting VFX, breaking down scripts and boards
• Be able to work within a structured team environment
• Possess problem solving skills, be a self-starter, adapt to production changes, motivate artists and teams
• Have knowledge of Word, Excel

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the overall financial and profitable well-being of the project
• Conduct a detailed bidding process pulling reference from scripts, storyboards, and meetings
• Pay attention to daily individual artist assignments
• Organize and publish delivery calendars based on approved methodology breakdown
• Track and update progress of VFX shots in Shotgrid
• Communicate daily with clients, editorial, and in-house management
• Push shots through our pipeline from work-in-progress to final, on a weekly basis
• Complete work within the timeframe allotted and on-budget
• Actualize budgets and project hours and dollars out to completion
• Work quickly and efficiently within established pipeline
• Take direction well and adapt to changes

Preferred Qualifications

• Have on-set experience
• Have experience with Shotgun
• Have experience producing VFX for television clients
