SEO Manager

Summary

Join ISTA Personnel Solutions South Africa and partner with a USA-based healthcare client as their new SEO Manager. This remote role, open to South African citizens only, requires full ownership of SEO strategy and execution, including hands-on work with content, audits, and optimizations. You will eventually lead an internal SEO team. The ideal candidate possesses deep technical SEO expertise and strategic know-how, a passion for healthcare, and the ability to work EST hours (14h00-23h00 SA time). A fixed fibre line with 25 Mbps speed and a reliable power backup solution are mandatory.

Requirements

• Proven technical SEO expertise (on-page, off-page, technical audits, crawling/indexing, site architecture)
• Strong grasp of Google’s algorithms and ranking factors
• Ability to use SEO tools (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, etc.)
• Ability to work within the behavioural health or healthcare digital landscape
• Excellent written and verbal English and can communicate clearly with stakeholders
• Flexible and comfortable working independently with minimal oversight
• A fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps (upload & download) and the ability to support a wired Ethernet connection is mandatory
• A reliable power backup solution (UPS, Solar, Generator) is required to manage load shedding and power outages
• Work EST hours Mon - Fri from 8am to 5pm EST (14h00pm to 23h00am South African time

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a results-driven SEO strategy tailored to the behavioural health industry
• Conduct technical SEO audits and implement changes
• Optimize content and oversee keyword strategies
• Monitor SEO performance and generate actionable insights
• Stay ahead of algorithm changes and industry trends
• Eventually build and manage a team of SEO specialists as needed
• Collaborate cross-functionally with content, development, and leadership teams
