SEO Specialist

Summary

Join Envato as an SEO Specialist and contribute to the growth of our organic website traffic and engagement. You will identify and mitigate risks to existing traffic, collaborate with internal teams to ensure SEO best practices, and explore programmatic optimization opportunities. This role requires strong analytical skills, experience with enterprise-level websites, and a deep understanding of SEO principles. Requirements

• 3+ years experience in SEO, ideally in eCommerce or at a digital marketplace
• Good understanding of technical aspects of content discovery, crawling, rendering and ranking
• Good understanding of current web development technologies and how to utilise them to implement fully technical SEO compliant web pages
• Experience with conducting SEO experiments
• Demonstrable experience implementing SEO strategies on enterprise (100,000+ page) website(s)
• Strong analytical capabilities, including good understanding of both eCommerce and Organic Search KPIs
• Self starter with experience working with multiple stakeholders to achieve positive results
• Inquisitive mindset and willingness to learn and try new things
• Strong command of the English language, in both written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Identify and mitigate risks to existing traffic and engagement
• Identify opportunities to grow traffic and engagement in line with business success metrics
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure new releases adhere to due-diligence processes, and SEO best practice
• Explore ways of programmatically optimising our sites, via insights and information generated by integrating internal and 3rd party data sources into our sites
• Provide SEO subject matter expertise to internal teams
• Collaborate with the content onboarding teams to define, prioritise and track performance of new content across platforms
• Content marketing - eg: blog, informational and educational content sites
• Content Team and Author Marketing - e.g. new categories for Elements, or Mixkit
• Weekly, and monthly reporting, including competitive analysis
• Maintain up to date understanding of digital landscape and share knowledge with internal teams
• Take ownership of the organic search performance of one or more of Envato’s websites

Preferred Qualifications

• Software development background or very good hands-on experience in scripting or high-level programming languages used in data analysis
• Python knowledge would be an advantage
• Proven ability to drive buy-in for recommendations through sharing SEO best practices and supporting with quantifiable data
• Experience in the domain of trading digital creative assets, or other digital products
• Experience in SEO Tools API integrations
• High level knowledge of other marketing channels’ strategies (social, affiliate, paid)
• Exposure to international SEO
• Understanding of ETL technologies
