Summary
Join Chainguard's Public Sector team as a SLED SE and become the technical authority for your territory. You will be responsible for all technical aspects of sales, including product positioning, demonstrations, competitive analysis, and value proposition. You will build relationships with customers, prospects, and partners. Partner with sales and marketing teams to develop and implement account plans and brand awareness campaigns. Focus on acquiring new customers and growing the existing customer base. Daily responsibilities involve understanding customer processes, conducting product demonstrations, growing pipeline through marketing initiatives, and advocating for customer needs.
Requirements
- Experience working with the state, local, and education (SLED) market
- Experience with accreditation and security policies like FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, or HIPAA
- Significant experience in one or more of the following areas: DevOps / DevSecOps
- Container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, Podman, etc.)
- Container vulnerability scanning, analysis, and mitigation
- AppSec
- Ability to travel 25% of the time
Responsibilities
- Partner with the SLED sales team to help develop and implement account plans
- Partner with the SLED marketing team to develop and implement brand awareness campaigns and grow pipeline
- Focus on acquiring new customer “logos” in addition to growing the existing customer base
- Own all technical aspects of sales opportunities (i.e. getting the technical win) while assisting current customers as they grow
- Work with existing and prospective customers to understand their software development, security, and deployment processes to determine if and how Chainguard products can help
- Conducting product demonstrations and POVs
- Growing pipeline by participating in webinars, meetups, conferences and other Public Sector and territory-focused marketing initiatives
- Advocating for your customers’ needs within Chainguard
