Summary

Join Extreme Networks as an intern supporting the State-Local Government and Education sales teams. You will contribute to opportunity creation by researching prospective customers, analyzing data, and building reports. Requirements

  • Business, Management, Sales, Entrepreneurship, Marketing focused students interested in getting experience and exposure to the world of Networking and Service Delivery
  • Skilled at using Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Self-motivated with a proactive attitude and the ability to work independently with some direction
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a sales environment
  • Curiosity to understand what’s needed to provide technical support services, build stronger customer relationships, and implement Extreme Solutions to customers
  • Excellent time management, communication and organizational skills
  • Willingness to adapt to changing work environments/people/process/tools

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify prospective SLED customers from existing data. Key focus on target prospect lists
  • Identify customers that are ready to upgrade
  • Help analyze past data for trends, and competitive intel with hunting lists
  • Work with Sales Operations to build reports and automation to support the above efforts
  • Organize and Compile K-12/E-Rate Share Drive
  • Cross-Check and Clean Up Salesforce Data vs. Funds-for-Learning Data
  • Help with new e-rate training badge for both internal and partners
  • Coordinate the efforts of multiple SLED team members and the marketing content department to update our differentiated message
  • Work with Competitive Marketing to ensure SLED sales resources are up-to-date and effective
  • Help analyze competitive e-rate/K-12 Collateral to ensure our content is optimized
  • Attend virtual sales calls with Extreme AE’s to learn and enhance selling skills and objection handling. Record observations
  • Attend select in-person customer-facing meetings to gain field sales experience with Extreme Account Executives and System Engineers
  • Collaborate on sales strategy meetings
  • Participate with other interns on group projects
