Social Media Assistant

Summary

Join our team as a Social Media Assistant and contribute to the creation, editing, and scheduling of engaging social media content across TikTok and Instagram. You will manage daily community engagement, ensuring brand alignment. This remote, full-time position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will have experience with various social media platforms, graphic design, and community management. You will report directly to the Social Media Manager and work flexible hours.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with the following social media platforms: TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest
• Basic graphic design and short-form video editing skills (Canva, Capcut, or similar tools)
• Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
• Experience in community management
• Portfolio of best performing short-form videos edited/created with analytics is required
• Proficiency in Google Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.) for organization and collaboration
• Knowledge of social media trends, algorithms, and best practices

Responsibilities

• Assist in repurposing, editing, and scheduling social media posts across various TikTok and Instagram, ensuring timely publication in line with the social media calendar
• Write engaging and brand-aligned captions, headlines, and short-form content for social media platforms
• Monitor and engage with the community across social media channels, responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a professional and timely manner
• Assist with tracking key metrics and compiling basic reports on the performance of social media campaigns
• Stay updated with social media trends, tools, and best practices to suggest fresh and innovative ideas
• Work closely with the marketing team to ensure consistency in branding and messaging across all social channels
• Assist with other marketing tasks as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with multiple brands is a plus
• Understanding of analytics tools (e.g., Instagram Insights, Meta Insights, TikTok Business Suite, etc.)
• Experience with social media tools like Later is a plus
