Summary

Join Benzinga, a top-50 financial publisher, as a Social Media Community Manager and play a key role in driving traffic and brand awareness. You will own the social media strategy for Twitter and LinkedIn, creating engaging content based on web content and news headlines. Your responsibilities include inbound and outbound community management, responding to mentions and engaging in relevant conversations. You will utilize analytical platforms to develop strategies for brand awareness and be available for ad-hoc post requests. This role requires knowledge of the stock market and finance, along with experience developing social media content for brands with significant follower counts. Passion for graphics and an eye for detail are essential.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the stock market and the world of finance
  • 2+ years developing social media content for brands, preferably at a publisher or brand with follower counts in excess of 200K

Responsibilities

  • Own strategy for Twitter/LinkedIn
  • Use web content and news headlines to craft socially native content for the platform with a focus on graphics
  • Inbound Community Management: Ensure every Benzinga mention/reply/DM is acknowledged in some way, shape, or form
  • Outbound Community Management: Reply to 100+ trending/influential posts per day as a way to insert ourselves into relevant conversations
  • Be available for ad hoc post requests (breaking stories/trending memes/etc.)
  • Utilize analytical platforms to regularly develop new strategies to drive awareness of the Benzinga brand and our offerings

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in financial media, cryptocurrency a plus
  • Passion for graphics and an eye for detail
