Social Media Executive

Summary

Join UNiDAYS as a Social Media Executive and play a key role in shaping the brand's voice on TikTok, Instagram, and other platforms. You will create engaging content that resonates with a Gen Z student audience, working both independently and collaboratively with the team and agencies. Responsibilities include filming, editing, and producing video and static content, identifying trends, managing the content calendar, engaging with the audience, and analyzing performance metrics. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of social media platforms, proficiency in editing tools, excellent communication skills, and a passion for student culture. This remote role, based in the UK, requires occasional travel to London or Nottingham. UNiDAYS offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements

• A strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, and other key platforms, with the ability to spot and capitalise on viral trends
• Proficiency in social editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar)
• Strong communication skills, both visual and written, to engage and resonate with a youth audience authentically
• A genuine passion for social media, student culture, and staying ahead of trends

Responsibilities

• Film, edit and produce high-quality, engaging video content, as well as static visuals for key social channels such as TikTok, Instagram
• Identify emerging trends and key student moments, adapting them to fit with our brand TOV
• Be comfortable to step in front of the camera, bringing energy and authenticity to our content
• Plan, schedule and manage the social content calendar, making sure we’re consistently showing up at the right times
• Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively with our social team and agencies to create scroll-stopping, authentic, and shareable content ideas
• Keep the convo going, writing relatable captions, engaging with our audience through comments, sparking conversations, and building a strong community
• Work closely with internal teams on giveaway management and fulfilment
• Track and analyse content performance metrics, using insights to optimise future content strategies
• Monitor competitor performance and brand sentiment, to identify opportunities and maintain a competitive edge
