Social Media Intern

Summary

Join Active Minds' Social Media Internship program and support the Marketing and Communications team in creating engaging content across various platforms, focusing on short-form videos. This remote internship offers a stipend of $1,250 per month and runs from September 15th to December 5th, 2025, requiring a minimum of 20 hours per week. You will collaborate with team members, learn about nonprofit social media management, and contribute to mental health advocacy. Successful candidates will demonstrate passion for social media, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and teamwork.

Requirements

• Passion and experience working in social media
• Strong writing and communications skills
• Attention to detail
• Team player with a willingness to learn
• Interest in video filming and editing (and comfort being on-screen)
• Knowledge of Google Workspace, Zoom, and Dropbox

Responsibilities

• Develop content across platforms, with a particular focus on short form video content
• Create engaging, shareable content to help increase awareness of Active Minds programming
• Collaborate with various Active Minds staffers to learn more about mental health advocacy
• Interact with thousands of enthusiastic audience members on a daily basis
